Thats right.  The STAAR test will be next week!   Please practice and complete your homework review guides.   This will help you on test day.   Practice with your highlighter at home, draw a picture (visualize it) if needed, go through each step, box in your answer.    Finally, double check your work to make sure your answer is correct.

Get plenty of rest during the next couple of days, so you are well rested.   Eat a healthy breakfast, and come prepared.   Have confidence!  I know you will do great!

The STAAR test is 2 weeks away!  Are you ready!?   Please remember all of the procedures we have gone over in class……Add, subtract, multiply and divide decimals and fractions?   Fractions, decimals, percents?   Perimeter, area?   translation versus reflection?   Calculating a 15% tip?  Whats the probability of pulling out a red marble?  THINK, THINK, THINK! WORK! WORK! WORK!

EVERYONE should know the steps to working out a math problem, and you should be CONFIDENT in your work! 

If you do not, make sure you are attending morning tutorials on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in room 123.   After school tutorials with either Mr. Nguyen, Ms. Ofori-Addo, or myself.   We are here to help you!

We have concluded our unit on fractions.  You should now know how to add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions.  If you do not, or you did not make an 80 or above on the last two quizzes, then you need to attend tutorials (monday or Wednesday 4pm-445pm.

We will be moving along and learning about 3 dimensional figures.   Get ready to cut, paste and build figures all week.

Hollywood stars!   The papparazzi party will be held on Thursday Feb. 23 during spark class.   You must get a 90 or above on your next report card to enter the party.   Pizza and ice cream will be served…..and you get to meet a celebrity!  

Work hard, no excuses, and get rewarded!   The Staar test is less than 40 days away!
